The rescue operations are suspended temporarily due to the rising level of methane gas which could lead to another blast. In order to monitor the gas levels for safe entry into the chamber, there is a plan to drill borehole from the ground. Rescuers are doing their best to reach the trapped miners, but some of them were already found dead.

U.S President Obama expressed his condolence for the people who lost their lives. He also ensured that the federal government will provide their best effort to rescue the remaining people trapped in the mine.  Amy Louviere, a U.S spokeswoman stated about the incident: “At approximately 3:30 PM, the Mine Safety & Health Administration was informed about the explosion in Massey Energy coal mine. Rescue operations are undergoing”

As per the file disclosed with MSHA, the company employs about 200 workers and produced about 1.2 million tons of coal last year. The mine uses an advanced longwall mining operation. The safety record for Massey Energy is also not the best. Records also reveal that the company has paid the highest fine in coal industry for a fire which broke up in West Virginia causing life of 2 miners.

According to MSHA statistics, the non-fatal injury rate is higher than the national average for similar operations in 7 of the last 10 years. In July 2003, one miner was killed by electrocution and in March 2001 another by roof falls as stated by MSHA statistics.

Pi Day is celebrated on 14 March for the π that is a mathematical constant (Pi). Because first three digits if Pi (π) are 3, 1 and 4 therefore the Pi day falls on 14^th March. This day is also the birthday of one of the biggest rockstars of science, Albert Einstein, therefore this day is also known as Einstein day. This day is generally celebrated in the science museums, industries and the schools areas.

Pi minute is also celebrated this day and it occurs at 1:59 p.m.  Actually when we truncate the value of pi (π) to the seven decimal places then it becomes 3.1415926 and this becomes on 14 March at 1:59:26p.m. Pi second also happens at 6:53:58 a.m. The Pi Day is celebrated in many different ways and this includes eating the pie cake and discussion on the relevance of the π.

Many activities are also included in the celebration like measuring the experiments, paper crafts, scavenger hunts, hand made paper and many more. The earthquake made major damages to the Port-au-Prince. A great number of the public figure died in this earthquake. These quake casualties include many people like the government officials, musicians, clergy members and the military personnel that were working with the United States. The Buildings lie in ruin and the bodies are piled in the streets.

The thousands of the earthquake victims are still waiting for the aids to arrive back in Haiti. There are many organizations who are gathering the resources to aid the victims of this awful tragedy in Haiti. A huge international effort is launched but the rescue workers and the supplies could only trickle in to the worst-hit areas. As officials in the country estimated the death toll has reached up to 50,000, the communication and the transportation problems hamper the efforts of the help and support.

Thousands of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti are still missing in the wreckage with their unknown fate. There is no food, no water and even no electricity. Many peoples are donating, praying and supporting for the earthquake victims who need the support in Haiti.

The people are giving donations such as for the American Red Cross, Text to Donate, Doctors without the borders and other unions such as the National Nurses United and the UNICEF. These are helping in the many ways to the earthquake victims in Haiti. The president Barack Obama stated telling the Haitian people “You are not forsaken”. The post mentioned that an anonymous reader had claimed that Marcus Cooper alias Pleasure P used to touch the young family members.

Several supporting documents were posted to prove the allegations. Included in these documents were tweets from attorney’s daughter who fought for Pleasure P.

However, as per Pleasure P, these accusations are incorrect and atrocious.

The singer said he neither knew Laura Goldstein who had supposedly send the tweets nor did he know Ashley. In fact, Pleasure P said he had never used services of any attorney named Goldstein.

He further added that the accusations made and the rumors spread about him were only to malign him by people having hidden agendas and there was not an iota of truth in them. He stated that the documents that are available online are forged and he had never known or met Ashley Goldstein or Laura Goldstein and are in all probability fictitious names. He said that someone was deliberately involved in his character assassination. He has handed over the issue to his attorneys to find out who is behind all this and to take remedial action against the perpetrator of the crime.

If we were to believe the allegations in the post, the incident happened in the year 2004 and a settlement was arrived at. Pleasure P had been told to perform community service and was directed to counseling. It seems Pleasure P did not pay the legal bills and hence Laura Goldstein who works in the capacity of attorney’s assistant, sent messages about the court documents.

Nine people went missing following the accident. As per the spokesman Ian Gregor of Federal Aviation Administration, a pilot reported the incident when he spotted a fireball around the accident site. As per the prima facie reports, there were seven people on C-130, the Coast Guard Plane, and 2 on AH-1 Cobra, a marine plane.

Though Cpl. Michael Stevens, the spokesman of Marine Corps did mention the crash of AH-1 Cobra, there were no details coming from him, except that the search was on, along with the rescue mission.

San Clemente Island is at the southern end of eight Channel Islands and is approximately at a distance of 68 miles west to San Diego.

Rescue operations are underway. However, the chances of survival of those met with the crash are remote. The accident happened in spite of the good weather conditions.

The Coast Guard C-130, was actually engaged in law enforcement, search and rescue operations and logistic missions.

As per Captain Thomas Farris from Coast Guard, at the time of crash, the plane was on the look out for a person who had tried to row a vessel from one island to another in the channel.

The search and rescue operators have not found any remains of the body, this far. Since the weather conditions are favorable, it is hoped that the search and rescue operation would find some survivors.

Meteor shower phenomena occur once every year.

Halley’s comet leaves behind its traces in the space in form of debris. The comet rotates around the sun once in every 76 years, and when it does so, it leaves behind huge debris. As the earth rotates, it comes in contact with the debris. The debris then evaporates in the earth’s atmosphere to form meteors which are can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as the size of a pea. As per Mikiya Sato and Jun-ichi Watanabe, researchers from Japan, the meteor activity of the recent years is related to the debris left by the Halley’s comet during the years 1266 BC to 911 BC.

Tonight, we will be able to see several dozens of meteor in an hour’s time.

Since rural areas are not as illuminated as the cities, these phenomena can be witnessed more clearly in rural places.

If you want to enjoy the show to the fullest, the best time is around 1 am and before early morning. The highest activity will be in the wee hours, at around 6 am, ET. Some of the meteors may be visible even late in the night; however, there will be just a few of them.

Since past 3 to 4 years, Orinoids are putting up a spectacular show. There have been over 60 meteors in an hour.

To make the most of the show, find yourself a place under the open sky, where you can get a wider view, since the meteors could show up from any direction. As the meteors move in great speed, you will not be able to see the show through binoculars.
