Vedera is an art rock band originated from Kansas City in Missouri. It was a band which was formed in 2004. A singer and a guitarist/pianist named Kristen May and a guitarist named Brian little, who had played many different bands previously for about one year has developed this Vedera. Later after the last band Red Authentic of Brian and Kristen, Drummer Drew Little and a flutist named Jason Douglas has joined the band.
During the year 2004 summer, a six song EP was recorded by Vedera and it is termed as “This Broken City” at the Black Lodge along with the support provided by the Ed Rose. During the year 2005, the Vedera band has released its LP which was named as “The weight of an empty room”. During the summer of year 2005, Vedera has toured with Dredg, Me without You, and Thrice, etc for many numbers of times.
Vedera had gone on an opening for forty tours for Mute Math which was followed by an opening stint of Owen. It has joined also with the Lucero and Murder by Death in the year 2006. One month later this tour, they went on a road with another tour with Mae and The New Amsterdam’s. During the December of year 2005, Second Nature Recordings which is the label of Vedera made an announcement about its decision to change its name from Veda to another name a similar moniker in order to avoid certain legal complications behind the name.
According to the recent news of year 2007, Vedera was preparing to record its next new album which was named as Epic records and it was started on October 17 of the same year. On October 6th of year 2009, an album called Stages was released on Epic online. It was developed by Mike Flynn and Warren Huart.
